CRISPERANTO: THE QUENTIN CRISP ARCHIVES

QUENTIN CRISP IN BLACK AND WHITE
Photographs by Martin Fishman (1937 - 2010)

VIGNETTE TWO

This first image shows Quentin in the “forgetting chamber”, something that he often did with his numerous friends. This image was used for the 2002 Art@Large Gallery exhibition postcard for “Of Quentin Crisp: Photographs From The Quentin Crisp Archives” (curated by Pet Silva and Phillip Ward). The remaining images show Quentin readying to become someone else in Eric Bentley’s play, written especially for him, “Lord Alfred’s Lover”. He delighted in performing for Mr. Bentley and amused the role was written for him.
